CIMUN was founded by a group of AUC students under the guidance of the Provost of AUC Professor Earl Tim Sullivan


In the year 2007, CIMUN created the Junior Cairo Model United Nations, where high school students get a chance to expand their knowledge and learn about the United Nations. It has now become the largest high school model in the Middle East


By the 27th CIMUN, Public Junior Cairo International Model United Nations was created to give back to the community and expand our borders by educating and enlightening an even larger scope


After the immense success of JCIMUN, the CIMUN team created NJCIMUN, the National Junior Cairo International Model United Nation conference (Later known as NJC, which stands for National Junior Conference). This conference allows students to compete with the top high school models from all around the world


Cairo International Model United Nations has been receiving Outstanding Recognition award in the National Model United Nation Conference in New York for the past eight years which more than 250 universities attend
